Louise Duprez works as sustainable mobility project manager for Brussels Environment, the Brussels regional administration in charge of environment. As part of the air quality and transport team, her job is to ensure that (direct) emissions from road transport decrease and that Brussels’ air quality improves. Her focus is mainly the implementation of the Brussels Low Emission Zone (LEZ) and the evaluation of its impacts for air quality and climate. Together with the rest of the team, Louise is also busy developing the next steps of the Low Emission Zone, which is a broad and ambitious new strategy to decarbonise road transport in the Brussels’ Capital Region. Prior to that, Louise worked on air quality policy at European level, first in the European Commission’s DG Environment and later as air quality & noise coordinator in the European Environmental Bureau, Europe’s largest federation of environmental citizens organizations.
